I like Lads to Leaders.
We have a group of kids at our congregation
who get together with some parents
and
study people in the Bible.
They are Leaders, and we are learning to be Leaders.
This was when we made bricks from clay and straw like the Israelites in Egypt |
We will also learn how to lead singing in Worship,
make Bulletin Boards,
Give Speeches,
and do neat Projects
like
Good Samaritan Projects.
This was when we sang Christmas Carols for people |
So far I have had lots of fun.
We always eat Pizza and my Grandma
makes her yummy Brownies.
In April
we are going to go to a Convention.
This was when our L2L group took Cupcakes to the Fire House in Town |
My parents want me to become better friends with the kids,
but still keep my friends outside of church.
This is my friend, Tyshawn. His mom is blind and he doesn't have a Dad
He comes over to play and eat with us
|
The only thing is, I have to be the "Influencer,"
and not the one being Influenced when I am with kids who don't know about Jesus.
We are so glad to see you are in Lads to Leaders. Looking forward to having you at the Convention!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I am excited to be going to Kentucky!
ReplyDeleteHow did you do at convention?
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Convention, @Paul Kelsey! I will be posting about it, but in a nutshell, my watercolor, blog and Speech all came in First Place in Louisville! Our group's Puppet Show also came in First Place. It felt so good to get rewarded after ALL that work! I looked at your two kids' blogs, and saw that they did GREAT! Hurray!
